It has become increasingly clear--the fall semester looming--that Muse is not going to be able to rebuild enough of a buffer before she has to return to school. Rather than fall into an unreliable, spotty update schedule I've decided to let her go.
I've pushed her into a less labor-intensive personal project which will eventually be found here, as well as participating in RumbleFest 2011, on the Nothing Personal Forums.
I will use this opportunity to rethink Artifact's direction and narrative, based on the (sometimes very aggressive) critique I've received from many of you. If and when I have the
opportunity to display for you all again, I hope you'll agree that I've learned a lot from doing Artifact, working with Muse, and in general.
Thank you, everyone.
Fond Farewells July 29th, 2011
Well, here we are, the end of chapter 4 and thus also the end of my run as the artist of Artifact.
On one hand I'm sad I'm not going to get to illustrate future chapters, but on the other, I now have the opportunity and time to try pursuing my own projects, which I'm greatly looking forward to. I hope you'll come take a look at those when they go live, updates on their progress will be able to be found at my Deviantart account, likely on the forums as well and eventually over here as well!
I want to thank Sin for having me on Artifact for these chapters, it was an excellent opportunity that gave me a close look at what running a webcomic involves. Not to mention taught me tons about art, writing and co-working in general!
And with that, my time here is up. A big thank you, and goodnight, folks!
